Abstract Tulip Art
Anyone who loves tulips will enjoy this Abstract Tulip Art; 1/4″ wide paper strips were used to complete this project; the quilled shapes have been adhered to a 4″ x 4″ flat canvas board.
I am usually inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe and this piece is no exception. I love the mixture of color and shape – resembles a tulip.
The flat canvas board has ben painted to hide the white background from showing through then has been quilled with various shades of color. It also includes a mini wooden easel for displaying. It could make quite the statement as a wall hanging by matting and framing with a larger frame (not provided). My favorite way to hang a flat piece of art is to use a nice ribbon, cut it to size and glue both sides of the ribbon to the back corners of the art. Then, you can hang it on a nail. This is ideal for quilled art because it is lightweight.
Every mosaic art piece is completely unique and can vary slightly in different color combinations.
All art is preserved with a UV protective acrylic spray sealant; It will help to prevent fading (avoid direct sunlight) and will look beautiful for years to come. The sealant also acts as a dust repellant and if you need to periodically clean your art, you can do so safely with a feather duster, a hair dryer (cool setting) or canned air. Although it is protected against moisture, it is not recommended for repeated uses in a room with high humidity such as a bathroom.
